Ashishma Nakarmi, a versatile Nepalese talent, is recognized as an actress, model, and singer. Her journey into the entertainment world took off when she secured the runner-up position in the Miss South Asia Texas 2012 beauty pageant, held in the United States.
Her acting debut unfolded with the Nepal Bhasa movie "Nyalla Bya," directed by Aryan Nakarmi. Her portrayal of Timila in the film earned her significant recognition, paving the way for subsequent projects. Director Deepa Basnet approached her after the success of her first movie, offering her a role in the Nepali movie "Antaraal" in 2013.
Renowned for her roles in Nepal Bhasa movies such as "Papu Madhu Ma Jhanga," "Taremam," and "Matina La Ana He Du," Nakarmi's repertoire expanded rapidly. With a career that spans over a dozen Newari movies and her debut in the Nepali movie "Antaraal," she has established herself as a dynamic presence in the Nepali film industry.
Beyond her thriving acting career, Nakarmi continues to pursue her education, currently working toward a master's degree in Rural Development, showcasing her dedication to both her artistic endeavors and academic pursuits.
