Biraj Bhatta, also known as Viraj Bhatt, is a prominent Nepali actor, director, and producer, celebrated for his dynamic roles in both Nepali and Bhojpuri films. Hailing from Dhangadhi, Nepal, he is often dubbed the "Action Star" or "Action Tiger" of Nepali cinema. With appearances in over 200 films across various languages, including Nepali, Bhojpuri, and Tharu, Biraj has made a significant mark in the industry.
Recently, Biraj Bhatta directed and starred in the 2024 Nepali action-drama film "12 Gaun," which achieved remarkable success. Released during the Dashain festival under his production company, Biraj Bhatt Film Production, the film features a talented cast, including his son Samir Bhatt, Sonu Chandrapal, Deeya Maskey, and others. "12 Gaun" tells an exciting story of courage, betrayal, and redemption, tackling important social issues through a mix of romance and intense action. The film shattered several box office records, earning over 26 crores in Nepal, making it one of the highest-grossing Nepali films ever.
