Jassita Gurung

Jassita Gurung is a talented Nepali-British actress, model, and dancer, known for her captivating performances in the Nepali film industry. Born on May 16, 1996, in Pokhara, Nepal, she moved to the United Kingdom at a young age and completed her education at Henry Beaufort School and Peter Symonds College in Winchester, England. Her multicultural background has added to her unique charm and versatility as an actress.

Jassita made her acting debut in the romantic drama "Lily Bily" (2018), where she starred alongside Pradeep Khadka. Her performance earned her the Best Debut Actress Award at both the Dcine Awards and the Kamana Film Awards in 2018. She further established her presence in the industry with her role in "Love Station" (2019), demonstrating her talent for portraying emotionally engaging characters. In 2024, she appeared in the fantasy romantic drama "Farki Farki," which received positive feedback from audiences.

Jassita is set to star in the much-anticipated sequel "Jerry on Top" (2025), directed by Hemraj BC. This film continues the story of the 2014 hit "Jerryy" and features an ensemble cast, including Anmol K.C., Aanchal Sharma, and Kedar Ghimire. The movie also marks the return of veteran actors Bhuwan K.C. and Bipana Thapa, who are reuniting on-screen after 18 years. "Jerry on Top" explores themes of love, adventure, and personal growth, with filming locations in Nepal and Ladakh, India.

In addition to her acting career, Jassita is recognized for her dancing skills and won the UK Dance Off 2017, a competition organized by Sapan Entertainment. She has also served as a judge on Super Dancer Nepal, alongside Suren Rai and Saroj Khanal, showcasing her versatility in the entertainment industry.
