Sunita Dulal is a prominent and multitalented Nepali folk singer, often hailed as the "Teej Queen" for her extensive and highly popular collection of festival-themed songs. Born on November 28, 1985, in Jalbire, Sindhupalchok, she grew up in a musically inclined family and began performing in local cultural programs at a young age. With a career spanning over two decades, she has recorded more than 200 songs, ranging from traditional lok-dohori to modern folk and festive melodies. Her voice is synonymous with the Teej festival in Nepal, with hits like "Teej Ko Aayo Lahara," "Chuppa Moi Khaula," and "Chalise Chura" becoming essential soundtracks for the celebration.
Beyond her singing career, Sunita is a well-known media personality. She has served as a television presenter for Nepal Television (NTV), hosting popular musical programs like Susheli, and has worked as a radio jockey for various FM stations. Her versatility extends to acting and modeling, and she even served as a judge for the first season of the reality show Nepal Lok Star. She was also one of the 365 artists featured in the Guinness World Record-breaking environmental song "Melancholy." Known for her elegant representation of Nepali culture, she has performed extensively across the globe, including in the USA, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
