For years, Binod Poudel has been the man making films happen behind the scenes. Now, he wants to tell his own story.

The producer behind Purna Bahadurko Sarangi — one of the highest-grossing Nepali films ever — has officially announced his directorial debut with a film titled Dui Kinara (Two Banks). The announcement came on the occasion of the Nepali New Year, accompanied by a striking poster: a lush green forest on one side, a barren and desolate hillside on the other, connected only by a narrow winding path.
The symbolism is clear — life's choices, however small, can lead you somewhere entirely different.
The film is slated for release on Baisakh 1, 2084, though details about the cast, story, and crew are yet to be revealed. After producing Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, Abhimanyu, and the upcoming Roll No. 1, Poudel seems ready to take the next step in his filmmaking journey — this time, fully in charge.
