There may be no better birthday present for an actor than the announcement of his next film.
On the occasion of Dayahang Rai's 46th birthday, the makers of Pension Patta officially revealed that the film will hit theaters on Bhadau 26 — just days before the major Hindu festival Teej, a strategic release window designed to attract festive audiences.

The first-look poster, released alongside the announcement, is quietly powerful. Set against a backdrop of handmade Nepali paper, it shows Dayahang mid-stride, a bag slung over his shoulder, his face carrying the weight of a man who has seen too much and is still walking forward. It says everything without saying a word.
Written and directed by Maotse Gurung under his own banner Maotse Gurung Films, the film brings together a strong ensemble cast including Pashupati Rai, Suniel Thapa, Luniva Tuladhar, Buddhi Tamang, and several others. Cinematography is handled by Sushan Prajapati, with editing by Surendra Paudel.
Audiences are already looking forward to seeing Dayahang in what promises to be another deeply human story.
