Kathmandu — The team behind Nepal's beloved television show Comedy Darbar is bringing its energy to the big screen. Kakakiki, a new film from that creative circle, has officially announced its release date of Bhadra 19, alongside a first-look poster that has immediately piqued audience curiosity.
The poster features the film's four central cast members in strikingly unusual appearances: Gauri Malla, Tripti Nadkar, Rekha Thapa, and Mahesh Tripathi each appear in distinctive and unexpected looks that suggest the film may not be the straightforward comedy some might expect from this team. The visual tone hints strongly at a suspense-driven story — a surprise twist that has already made audiences more curious than they might have been.
The film is jointly directed by Vicky Agrawal and Shraddha Prasai, with Anish Budathoki as assistant director. The concept is by Suman Agrawal, with writing by Vicky Agrawal, Bikas Aryal, Saroj Bhandari, and Bishwas Timilsina. Cinematography is handled by Sudeep Baral's team. Title art is by Trident Concept and poster design by Karyalaya.
The broader cast includes Diya Maske, Shishir Wangdel, Prakash Ghimire, Maotse Gurung, Rear Rai, Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabapu), Suwarna Thapa, Subash Gajurel, Manoj Gajurel, and Alisa Bhogal, among others.
