Kathmandu — A new voice is entering Nepali cinema's growing action space. The teaser of Pari Butol, a gangster drama directed by Ganesh Dev Pande, has been released, and it immediately signals that this film has its own distinct identity within the genre.

The teaser introduces the film's principal characters through their looks and personalities, with strong performances from the cast and assured cinematography by Mahesh Paudel. What sets the teaser apart tonally is its soundtrack — a combination of background score by Jataveda Banerjee and a rap track by rapper Vyoma that gives the preview a raw, street-level energy that feels fresh in the Nepali film context.

Director and writer Ganesh Dev Pande has been clear that Pari Butol is not a conventional gangster film. "This is not just a gangster cinema," he explained. "It is a story about youth, their families, their struggles, and the game they have to play in the race to find success." The production team invested significant preparation time to ensure the characters feel grounded and believable on screen rather than stylized or artificial.

The film is produced by Laxmi Shrestha, with Manisha Adhikari as co-producer. The cast includes Anup Baral, Diya Maske, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Divya Dev, Suwarna Thapa, Niriksha Ghatani, Tufan Thapa, Aviral Pratap Adhikari, Kiran Shrestha, Suyog Timilsina, Sushil Sitaula, and Bikram Shrestha, among many others.

Technical credits include action direction by NB Maharjan, editing by Lokesh Bajracharya, art direction by Manita Sundas, and location sound by Rohit Baral. Poster and publicity design is by Royal Bhimsen.
