Kathmandu — The first song from the upcoming film Kaaji has been unveiled at a special event in Kathmandu on Thursday, and it is already drawing warmth from audiences for its tender portrayal of married love set against a rich rural backdrop.

Titled "Wari Bar Pari Pipalu," the song features words and music by celebrated composer Kaliprasad Baskota, with vocals by two winners of Nepal Idol Ganga Sonam and Karan Pariyar. The release is particularly notable as it marks singer Ganga Sonam's formal debut in Nepali film playback singing a milestone for one of Nepal's most beloved recent voices.

The music video presents lead actors Bipin Karki and Keki Adhikari as a newlywed couple navigating the quiet rhythms of village life from morning prayers to working in the fields in a visual style that feels unhurried and genuinely affectionate. Choreography is by Kabiraj Gahatraj, and the natural warmth between the two actors has been one of the early talking points around the song.

Actor Bipin Karki has previously described Kaji as a classic love story in the spirit of Laxmi Prasad Devkota's Muna Madan a bold comparison that sets high expectations for the film's emotional depth.

Kaaji is directed by Laxman Rijal with story by Pradeep Bharadwaj, produced under the banner of Rijal and Rijal Production with Ram Prasad Rijal as presenter and producers Ram Prasad Rijal, Nehan Rijal, and Bikasraj Joshi, with Asim Kafle as executive producer. The cast alongside Vipin and Keki includes Garima Sharma, Hemant Budathoki, Prakash Ghimire, Bishal Pahari, Hiunbala Gautam, and others. Cinematography is by Chintan Rajbhandari, background score by Sujil Karmacharya, color grading by Shyam Kunwar, and editing by Bipin Mall.

Kaaji releases on Jestha 8.
