Kathmandu — The cast of Maharajdhiraj has added another strong name. Actor Sushil Sitaula has been officially signed for one of the film's principal roles, joining what is rapidly becoming one of the most formidable ensemble casts assembled for a Nepali film in recent years.

Presenter Biraj Bisht described Sitaula as an underrated gem in Nepali cinema — a sentiment shared widely within the industry — and expressed confidence that the strength of the lineup will directly translate to the strength of the film on screen.

The confirmed cast now includes Pushpa Khadka in the lead, alongside Sushil Sitaula, Pooja Sharma, Keki Adhikari, Hemant Budathoki, Nir Shah, Aryan Sigdel, Ramesh Upreti, Usha Rajak, Hiunbala Gautam, Jayakishan Basnet, Shishir Bhandari, Gajit Bisht, and Asha Poudel, with over 80 additional actors rounding out the ensemble.

The film is directed by Parichheda Sen, who also wrote the screenplay, with cinematography by Nabaraj Thapa. Shooting will begin from the second week of Baisakh, starting at Sri Lanka Tapu in Sunsari, before moving to historic and scenic locations across Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Kirtipur. The film is produced by Ravi Khadka, Shivraj Poudel, and Topendra Bisht under the banner of Chhattreshwar Management Pvt. Ltd., targeting a Fulpati of Dashain nationwide release.
