Kathmandu — The Nepali suspense drama Bhagdaud, written and directed by Himal Upreti, has announced its theatrical release date of Ashar 26, with the production team unveiling two official posters that immediately establish the film's tense and mysterious tone. The cast members shown in the posters appear in states of heightened stress and unease, signaling a story rooted in psychological and moral conflict.

Director Upreti has described the film as an exploration of greed, deception, and the moral crisis that human beings navigate in the shadow of temptation. The story is set against the backdrop of Bungamati, one of Kathmandu's historic and traditional Newar settlements, and along the banks of the Bagmati river, giving the narrative a richly textured sense of place.
