Kathmandu — The family comedy Chameli Ko Poi, directed by Everest Surya Bohra, has officially confirmed its worldwide release date of Ashoj 16. The film features a large ensemble cast and, most notably, marks the big screen comeback of beloved comic actor Narayan Tripathi after nearly two decades away from the cinema.
The cast is wide and full of familiar names: Surakshya Pant, Mukun Bhusal, Narayan Tripathi, Wilson Bikram Rai, Rabindra Jha, Anshu Maharjan, Khadga Bahadur Pun (Khabapu), Umesh Rai, Rajani Gurung, Sunita Sapkota, Ganesh Gautam, Premdev Giri, Dhanlaxmi Bohra, Shreya Narayan, Anushka Narayan, Meena RL Shahi, Ritu Mall Thakuri, Anarratna Bajracharya, and Bindu Acharya, among others.
The film is produced by Sunita Sapkota and Ramnaran Upadhyaya under the banner of Dhanlaxmi Cine Makers, with executive producers Uday Bikram Rana, Ritu Mall Thakuri, and Kapil Acharya. The story is by director Bohra with screenplay assistance from Shivam Adhikari. Line producer is Dhankumari Shrestha (Bohra).
The film was shot across Mustang, Pokhara, and Kathmandu, with music by Rajanraj Shiwakoti and Ashish Aviral, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj, action direction by Kumar Maharjan, and chief assistant direction by Sudeep Kunwar. Distribution is by RR Films with OSR Digital as digital partner.
