Comedian Suman Koirala Makes Acting Debut in Satirical Comedy "Tirimiri Jhyain," Shoot Begins Ashar 29

Kathmandu — A new Nepali comedy film is officially on its way, and it comes with a debut that audiences have been waiting for. Tirimiri Jhyain, a pure satirical comedy being produced under the banner of Horizon Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd., held its formal muhurt ceremony with a full Vedic puja in the presence of the production team, cast members, and journalists.

Most excitingly, the film marks the feature film acting debut of Suman Koirala, widely loved by audiences as the comedian "Dale Dai". He steps into the world of narrative film for the first time with this project, joining a cast that also includes veteran actor Dhiren Shakya, Abhas Adhikari, Saroj Aryal, Rear Rai, Suraj Chaulagain, Raj Neupane, Jay Ram Dhakal, Pushkar Khatiwada, Rajashri Thapa, and Ghanshyam Joshi, among others.

The film is directed by Samir, based on a story and concept by Abhas Adhikari, who also serves as executive producer. Speaking at the ceremony, director Samir expressed confidence that the film would keep audiences laughing from the first scene to the last. Producer Pradyumna Bogati (Prabin) added that the team's goal is to deliver a genuinely excellent family comedy.

Screenplay and dialogues are co-written by Ganesh Upadhyay, Prembahadur Thapa, and Suman Koirala himself. Technical credits include cinematography by Bishal Kakshyapati, music by Abhishek Karki, choreography by Pradip Lama and Sion Shrestha, poster and publicity design by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept), costume design by Rijen Pradhan, makeup by Dilmaya Roka, hair styling by Apsara Kunwar, chief assistant direction by Karan Bahadur Saud, production management by Nirmal Neupane, and production design by Rabin Kaji Shakya. Co-producers include Bhupendra Sitaula (Niraj), Shambhu Karki, Binod Budathoki, Pushkar Khatiwada, Dinesh Shrestha, and Anil Sharma.

Principal photography is set to begin on Ashar 29.
