Arpan Thapa, a versatile figure in Nepalese entertainment, boasts a career as an actor, director, and scriptwriter. He delved into acting by studying the craft in Mumbai back in 2002. Upon his return to Nepal, he embarked on his journey in the local film industry. Interestingly, his path into the industry was influenced by chance encounters, notably meeting director Murray Kerr while engaged in promoting a friend's CD business at Mahabouddha.
Thapa initiated his acting career with the Nepali film "Sick City," where he portrayed the lead character, Krishna. Additionally, he's showcased his directorial skills, helming the movie "Mukhauta," which hit the screens on 13th June 2014.
He draws inspiration from acclaimed actors like Daniel Day-Lewis and holds deep respect for notable figures in Nepalese cinema, such as Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha, acknowledging their contributions to the industry. Thapa's multifaceted talents continue to shape and contribute to the Nepali entertainment landscape.
