While performing in the play Mira at Kantipur Theatre, his raw talent and stage presence caught the eyes of a high-profile audience, including acclaimed director Pradip Bhattarai and actor/producer Rabindra Singh Baniya. In recent interviews, Devkota opened up about the challenges of switching media: "In theatre, you live a character's entire arc in one breath. Film is different — it's fragmented. You have to maintain the emotional depth of a character while shooting scene by scene, often out of order. It has been an incredible learning curve."
