Chandra Prakash Pant, popularly known as Chandra Panta, is a renowned action director in the Nepali and Bhojpuri film industries. Born on November 28, 1987, in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, Nepal, he has made a name for himself with his dynamic action choreography and martial arts expertise. Introduced to martial arts at a young age, he trained extensively in Taekwondo, earning a 4th Dan Black Belt, and also competed in boxing and gymnastics at the national level. His academic journey led him to Andhra Loyola College in South India, where he initially studied science before shifting his focus to the film industry.
Panta began his career as a stuntman in 2008 and quickly transitioned to action direction in 2012 with the film Raavan. His innovative approach to action sequences set him apart, leading to collaborations in over 40 Nepali films, 10 Bhojpuri films, and two Bollywood productions (Tere Ishq Mein and Mumbaiya). His dedication to pushing the boundaries of action choreography has earned him eight national awards in Nepal, cementing his reputation as one of the most respected action directors in the industry. At just 22 years old, he became Nepal’s youngest action director, a testament to his rapid rise in filmmaking.
His ability to blend technical precision with cinematic storytelling has made him a sought-after name in action filmmaking. His contributions to Nepali and Bhojpuri cinema have left a lasting impact, and his future in Bollywood promises even greater achievements.
