Hemraj B.C. is a renowned Nepali film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his compelling storytelling and dedication to highlighting social issues. Born on December 30, 1985, in Chhinchu-7, Surkhet, Nepal, Hemraj developed a keen interest in cinema from a young age, inspired by Bollywood and world cinema. He pursued his dreams by traveling to Mumbai at 19. After returning to Nepal in 2012 following his father's passing, he wrote and directed his first Nepali film, "Hostel," in 2013, which achieved significant success.
Hemraj's notable works include "Jerryy" (2014), "Sambodhan" (2015), "Gajalu" (2016), "Gangster Blues" (2017), "The Break Up" (2019), and "Ghamad Shere" (2019). Each of these films explores various themes such as friendship, love, crime, and social issues, earning him praise both locally and internationally. His latest film, "AKTOR," is another testament to his unique storytelling style and commitment to high-quality filmmaking.
Throughout his career, Hemraj has received several accolades, including Best Director and Best Screenplay awards for "Gajalu" at various film festivals.
