Jharana Thapa is a well-known Nepali actress, director, and producer, recognized for her impactful contributions to the Nepali film industry. She was born on March 28, 1980, in Pyuthan, Nepal, and began her acting journey with the film "Daijo" (1996), where she starred alongside Bhuwan K.C. Her breakthrough role came in the movie "Dharam Sankat" (1998), which garnered her critical acclaim and solidified her status as one of the top actresses of her era.
Throughout her career, Jharana has featured in many successful films, such as "Muglan," "Takdir," "Jeevan Sathi," and "Purnima." After more than twenty years in acting, she made a shift to directing. Her first directorial project, "A Mero Hajur 2" (2017), was a tremendous success, leading her to continue the series with "A Mero Hajur 3" (2019) and "A Mero Hajur 4" (2022), which starred her daughter, Suhana Thapa, in the main role.
