He gained significant attention for his debut feature, 1915: Legend of the Gurkhas (also known as Gurkha: Beneath the Bravery), a psychological war drama inspired by the true story of Rifleman Kulbir Thapa. His follow-up project, Antim Sanskar: The Last Ritual, further showcased his range by delving into the psychological thriller genre, set against the mystical backdrop of the Himalayas.
