Renu Nath Yogi is a Nepali actress and theater artist hailing from Dhangadhi, a city in the far-western region of Nepal. Before making her foray into film, she built a foundation in the performing arts through stage work, having acted in more than half a dozen plays, short movies, and a documentary called Acid Scandal. This grounding in theater gave her a strong command of character and naturalistic performance that would later distinguish her on the big screen.
Renu made her film debut in the 2022 Nepali drama Prakash, directed by Dinesh Raut. The film stars Pradeep Khadka and Deeya Maskey, and was entirely shot on location in Jumla, a remote district in western Nepal. She was selected for the role by casting director Anup Baral through a competitive audition process.
Through a single debut role, Renu Nath Yogi established herself as a compelling and nuanced performer, with audiences and critics alike eagerly anticipating her future work in the industry.
