Resh Raj Acharya made his directorial debut with the film 'Tilahari,' featuring Banni Pradhan. The movie was produced by Gopi Krishna Movies, although it was initially produced under the banner of Sayapatri Films during production. Sumitra Poudel served as the producer, and the film boasted a cast of well-known actors at the time, including Bhuwan KC, Kristi Mainali (known as Kristi KC back then), Mausami Malla, Gopal Raj Mainali, Madan Das Shrestha, Mukunda Kishore Bhattrai, Prakash Pathak, Ashok Sharma, Mohan Niraula, among others.
The story and script for the movie were written by Pratap Chandra Pradhan, with dialogues penned by Mohan Niraula. The lyrics were composed by Pramod Pradhan, Jiwan Adhikari, and Uddav Poudel, while the action sequences were choreographed by Gopal Bhutani. Pramod Naidu handled the choreography, and Harish Chaudhari took care of the editing. The music featured renowned Indian singers like Asha Bhosle and Suresh Wadkar, as well as Nepali artists such as Sushma Shrestha, Gyanu Rana, Udit Narayan Jha, Deepa Jha, and Muralidhar.
Prior to directing feature films, Resh Raj Acharya had directed Nepali TV serials, including "Smriti." It's worth noting that his wife and one of his sons reside in France.
Acharya's final film was "Pritiko Phool," produced by Gopi Krishna Movies. The movie starred Raj Ballav Koirala, along with Yuna Upreti and Garima Panta in lead roles.
