Saigrace Pokharel (born Santosh Pokharel on November 7, 1987) is a prominent Nepalese storyteller, filmmaker, and video producer who has gained international recognition for his emotive and socially conscious narratives. Born and raised in Kathmandu, he pursued higher education abroad, earning a Post Graduate degree in Strategy Management from De Montfort University in Denmark and later a Master's in Digital Marketing in Spain. His unique name, "Saigrace," reflects his family's spiritual devotion as followers of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Before his rise as a full-time creator, he served as a civil service officer for the Government of Nepal for nearly a decade and worked as a voice-over artist for various brands.
Pokharel's storytelling journey transitioned from a childhood hobby to a professional career following a pivotal performance at a 2012 youth conference in Pokhara, where he captivated an audience of 1,500 people. However, it was during the 2020 global lockdown that he became an "overnight sensation" after his video titled 90's Kid went viral on social media. Currently based in Barcelona, Spain, he operates Saigrace Production, through which he creates commercial content and powerful "social impact" stories. His work often explores themes of human values, social issues, and the struggles of the Nepali diaspora, such as in his poignant piece Khadi ko Katha.
Beyond digital platforms, Pokharel has expanded his reach through live events like the "Word Tour with Saigrace" and has authored a book titled Saigrace: The Storyteller, which chronicles his global journey and the transformative power of narrative. His audio novel, Mero Adhuro Prem, has achieved significant global viewership, ranking as one of the most-watched audio novels on YouTube. Known for his "soft, charismatic voice" and disciplined approach to scriptwriting and video editing, Pokharel continues to collaborate with international organizations like the United Nations and Save the Children to raise awareness for health and mental wellness.
