Sirjana Basnet is a veteran Nepali actress who began her film career with the hit movie Deuta in the early 1990s. Her performance in the film brought her into the spotlight, and she later married the film’s producer, Biju Ranjit. After his untimely death, Sirjana took a break from acting but made a remarkable comeback with the help of action director Surendra Shah, who also became her partner for several years.
She transformed herself physically and professionally, shedding significant weight through exercise, horse riding, and swimming—without relying on dieting. Sirjana later ventured into directing, taking on multiple roles in the film Good Luck, where she served as producer, lead actress, and director.
