Sushil Chhetri, a prominent figure in the Nepali film industry, made his debut in Kollywood with the highly anticipated film "Aago," which revolved around the Maoist crisis but faced a ban before its release. Known for his remarkable performances, Chhetri gained fame through his movies "Aago" (2000) and "Gaajal" (2001). His extensive career spans over a decade, featuring dozens of Nepali films and 11 Bhojpuri movies.
Before his acting career in Kollywood, Sushil Chhetri started as a background dancer. However, his debut movie's success catapulted him to super-stardom. He continued to deliver a string of box office hits and critically acclaimed films, including "Bhai" (1999), "Gaajal" (2001), "Khandan" (2002), "Muskaan" (2002), "Uphar" (2003), "Ke bho lau na ni" (2003), "Khayal khaylaiye ma" (2004), "Muglaan" (2004), and "Tribeni" (2004).
Chhetri has received numerous awards from national and international organizations in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the film industry. He was nominated for the leading actor category in the Dabur Anmol Motion Picture Award (2004) for his role in the Nepali movie "Triveni." Additionally, he was honored with the title of "Best Actor" at the Kalakar Awards in Kolkata for his debut film "Aago," and the award was presented to him by Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee.
