Vijay Lama, also known as Captain Vijay Lama, is a senior Nepali pilot with an impressive multi-faceted career. He is one of the first Nepalese pilots to achieve the rank of instructor on the Airbus A330. In addition to his aviation career, he is known for his roles as a singer, actor, television presenter, and social activist.
Vijay Lama has made significant contributions to the Nepali film industry, appearing in more than 30 Nepali movies, including notable films like "Raanko" and "Truck Driver." He made his debut in the Nepali film industry with "Aadarsha Naari" in 1984.
In a remarkable international venture, Vijay Lama appeared in the Hollywood film "Everest," which featured a star-studded cast including Josh Brolin and Jake Gyllenhaal. In the film, he portrayed the character of rescue pilot Col. Madan KC.
Vijaya Lama is also recognized for his singing talents. He participated as a solo singer in the song "Melancholy," which involved 365 Nepali Artists and achieved the Guinness World Record for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording." His diverse talents and contributions have made him a prominent figure in Nepal's entertainment industry and beyond.
