Director Anil Budha Magar has successfully completed the shooting of his upcoming film, Mitjyu, in a remarkably swift one-month schedule. The project, which began its journey with a formal ceremony at the Ambikeshwari Temple in Dang on the occasion of Basant Panchami, finished filming right on time.

Producer Janak Gharti Magar credited the smooth completion to the seamless coordination between the technical crew and the star-studded cast. Following the success of his previous film, Gharjwai, director Anil Budha Magar has once again chosen the scenic landscapes of Dang and Rolpa as the backdrop for this social drama.

A Major Debut and a Powerhouse Cast

The film is making headlines primarily for being the acting debut of Teria Phounja Magar, the famous dancer and winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She steps into the world of cinema as a lead actress alongside some of the biggest names in the industry:

The Iconic Duo: Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla.

Supporting Stars: Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Raj Thapa, Subarna Thapa, and Anu Thapa.

Comedic Presence: Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabapu).

Behind the Scenes: The Creative Team

Director: Anil Budha Magar (of Gharjwai fame).

Cinematography: Shishir Bishankhe.

Editing: Lokesh Bajracharya.

Music: Composed by Shree Krishna Bam Malla, with vocals by Malla himself, Melina Rai, and Laxmi Malla.

Workshop: Conducted by veteran actor Bholaraj Sapkota.

What to Expect?

Mitjyu is described as a socially grounded story, likely exploring themes of friendship (as the title suggests) and rural life—territory where director Anil Budha Magar has previously excelled. The production designer Kishore Nepal and the costume team have worked to maintain an authentic local feel throughout the shoot.

Actually, finishing a film with such a high-profile cast in just 30 days is quite a feat in the Nepali industry. It shows that the pre-production and workshops (handled by Bholaraj Sapkota) were handled very efficiently. Or at least, it means the "Dayahang-Saugat" chemistry is so natural that they didn't need many retakes.
