Kathmandu — A new Nepali film is officially in the works. Temke: The Destination held its auspicious muhurt ceremony at the Bhadrakali Temple in Kathmandu on Friday, marking the formal beginning of the film's production journey.
The film is presented by R.D.S. Nepal and will be directed by Dev Prasad Dhimal, who also serves as the film's producer. Pankaj Sardar joins the project as co-producer, while Bhola Subedi (Pranap), Rajanjang Thapa, and Jit Sherchen are attached as executive producers.
Behind the camera, Bijayraj Bhurtel will serve as assistant director, Raju Kirat will handle action direction, and Naresh Aiyar will take charge of cinematography. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in the second week of Chaitra, with shooting planned across multiple locations in Kathmandu and Bhojpur — a combination that promises both urban energy and the rugged natural beauty of eastern Nepal.
The film features an ensemble cast including Shiva Shrestha, Arjun Thapa, Pritika Sharma, Krishnaprasad Dhital, Rina Gurung, Saru Karki, Shridev Bhattarai, Gokul Subedi, Savitra Chilwal, Srijana Budha, Abhishek Phuyal, Rabina Dulal, and Vivek Khadka, among others.
The production team has stated that Temke: The Destination will present a compelling story rooted in Nepali society, told in an engaging and accessible style. Further details about the film's storyline and release timeline are expected to be announced as production progresses.
