Debut Director Reet Bohora Wraps Most of "Kasturi" Shoot in 35 Days, Starring Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti

Kathmandu — First-time director Reet Bohora has reached a significant milestone with his debut feature film Kasturi, completing the majority of principal photography in just 35 days. A few village scenes and the film's songs remain to be shot, but the bulk of production is now firmly in the rearview mirror.

"We have completed the filming of the cinema in 35 days," Bohora confirmed. "Only the songs and a few village scenes are left. Everything else is done."

Filmed primarily around the Kathmandu valley, Kasturi is a mystery, suspense, and crime thriller that promises to peel back dark and layered secrets as its story unfolds. The film marks the first on-screen pairing of lead actors Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti, a combination that has already generated curiosity among Nepali film audiences.

The supporting cast is equally impressive, featuring Shekhar Chapagain, Nirmal Sharma, Nisha Adhikari, Arjun Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Sabi Thapa, Prashant KC, Santosh Baniya, Subash Banjan, Mira Pandit, Ghanshyam Joshi, Shreya Shrestha, and Pratistha Thapa, with Gaurav Pahari and Hena Nagarkoti appearing in special roles.

Kasturi is produced under the banner of Ten Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. by Dhiraj Kumar Agrawal, who is making his debut as a film producer with this project. Anjali Chaudhary serves as co-producer. The story is written by director Bohora himself, with cinematography by Alok Shukla, chief assistant direction by Lalit Bisht, music by Prashant Shiwakoti, and production management by Dilip Panta.

A release date has not yet been announced.
