Kathmandu — Fresh from celebrating its first song "Mayalai Ke Diu Ma Baina" crossing 10 million views on YouTube, the team behind Lalibazar has released its second song, "Mitho Sansar," a lyrical video that shifts the emotional register of the film's promotion from romance to something deeper and more universal: the bond between a mother and her daughter.
The song features vocals by popular singer Samiksha Adhikari alongside Dilija Ruwali, Alisha Sharma, and Purnima Tamang, with Guras Thakuri and Gayatri Rana Magar providing chorus support. Both the lyrics and music are composed by Jayan J Waiba. The lyrical video features actress Swastima Khadka, newcomer Prasangsha Subedi, and child actress Samaira Thapa.
Director Yam Thapa explained the song's significance within the film: "This song is directly connected to the film's core story. It portrays the deep emotional bond between a mother and daughter, the boundless love for a child, and the struggles a mother endures to raise her."
Laalibazar is set for release on Baisakh 18, 2083 BS, and was filmed entirely in the scenic setting of Rajapur, Bardiya. The film stars Swastima Khadka, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Samaira Thapa, Mukunda Kumar Shrestha, Abhay Baral, Prem Pande, Asha Poudel, Govinda Sunar, Aabha Aryal, Tara Sharma, Ramesh Badi, Saraswati Adhikari, and Janaki Kathayat, among others. The film also marks the silver screen debuts of theater actor and director Bishal Devkota and Gen-Z favorite Prasangsha Subedi.
