Kathmandu — One of the most ambitious Nepali web series productions in recent memory has officially unveiled its trailer. Sahu Ba, a joint presentation of Music Nepal and Frame in Motion, dropped its one minute and forty-four second trailer on Sunday, and it has already signaled that this is not a project that plays it safe.

The trailer establishes the series' core identity immediately: crime, action, and revenge. At the center of it all is lead actor Viju Parki, whose character is introduced through a recurring visual motif of a paper airplane — appearing at the start, in the middle of the trailer, and finally drenched in blood — hinting at a backstory soaked in trauma and a journey driven by emotional vengeance.

The production values on display are striking by Nepali web series standards. Car stunts, choreographed warehouse fight sequences, police investigation scenes, and dramatic flashes of fire and weapons paint a picture of a series that has invested heavily in physical action — a deliberate departure from the dialogue-heavy approach that most Nepali web series have favored. A grand red chair glimpsed at the trailer's close speaks to a deeper theme of power, control, and the price of reaching the top.

Director and writer Sujoy Yonga has described Sahu Ba as one of the most ambitious projects in Nepali digital entertainment. The scale backs that claim up: the series spans 24 episodes, took approximately three years to produce, and features a cast of over 380 actors — a figure unprecedented in Nepali web series history. The ensemble includes Priyanka Karki, Kavita Nepali, Viju Parki, Sarita Giri, Namrata Shrestha, Amit Shah, Amit Giri, Priyanka Chaudhary, Hina Nagarkoti, Bimal Puri, Ramesh Adhikari, Pradip Bastola, and Krishna Bhakta Mahajan, among many others.

Cinematography is by Ayushman D. Joshi, Sangam Rai, and Anish Tamang, with editing by Ramprasad Chaudhary, action direction by Pema Lama and Raju Tamang, and songs by Sagar Ale, Mr. D, and Ujan Shakya.

Sahu Ba premieres on April 17, 2026 (Baisakh 4, 2083), available from 6 PM on the MOMO app with all episodes, and released weekly on Music Nepal Entertainment's YouTube channel.
