Kathmandu — Singer and comedian Kushal Pokhrel is on a roll. Having lent his voice to films including Behuli From Meghauli and Ramitako Pirati, he has now recorded a rap for the upcoming comedy film Bob Dai — directed by Pravin Shrestha — and has also made his acting debut in the same project.

The rap song, written by Pokhrel himself, was filmed this week in Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, with Pokhrel appearing in the video alongside the film's main cast. According to director Pravin Shrestha, only the scenes featuring Saugat Malla remain to be shot before production wraps.

Bob Dai is a comedy featuring Saugat Malla, Kushal Pokhrel, Simran Pant, Santosh Pant, Bishal Pahari, Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Yaman Shrestha, Krishnabhakta Maharjan, Geeta Adhikari, and Bhintuna Joshi, with child actor Agrim Pandit. The film is produced by Roteping Entertainment in collaboration with Shriram Balaji Films, with producers Rajesh Ghimire, Roshan Bhattarai, and Sunil Manandhar, and executive producer Rabindra Prajapati. The story is by Mainisha Gauchan and Pravin Shrestha, with cinematography by Shyam Tamang and editing by the director himself. The film aims for a release this year.
