Nikhil Upreti's "Acharya" Eyes Dashain Release, Could Face Off Against "12 Gaun 2" and "Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2"

Kathmandu — Actor and director Nikhil Upreti's upcoming action film Acharya is currently in post-production, with the team now focused on dubbing. While an initial Jestha release was discussed, sources indicate the production is now targeting a Dashain release window — a decision that could set up one of the season's most competitive box office showdowns.

If Acharya confirms a Dashain release, it will likely face off against Biraj Bhatt's 12 Gaun 2 and Deepak Raj Giri's Chha Maya Chhapakkai 2 — two sequels with strong franchise recognition and large built-in audiences.

Nikhil stars in the film himself, and the production team has promised high-level action sequences. The film also features Indian cast members, adding to its promotional appeal. The film is produced by actress Sanchita Luitel. An official release date announcement is expected shortly.
