Kathmandu - Actor and comedian Jitu Nepal's emotionally driven drama I Am Jit Bahadur is set to hit cinemas across Nepal this Friday, with advance booking already open at the country's major multiplex chains. By Wednesday, tickets were available at QFX — Nepal's largest multiplex chain — as well as INIM and Big Movies, among other venues.
The film follows Jit Bahadur, a cheerful, simple, and dream-filled married young man from a village who discovers a deep passion for acting through small local stage performances. What begins as a hobby becomes the most important dream of his life, and the film charts his struggle to pursue it and the turbulence that follows.
The film stars Jitu Nepal alongside Barsha Raut, Priyanka Karki, Sandeep Kshetri, Deshbhakta Khanal, Sara Sharma, Anshu Maharjan, Pawan Khatiwada, and Rajan Simkhada, among others. Directed by Indian Bengali filmmaker Suvendhu Ghosh, the film runs 133 minutes and is a drama genre production.
Jitu Nepal himself serves as producer, with co-producers Rajan Simkhada and Dipendra Adhikari, and executive producers Nishchal Kunwar and Niraj Nepal. Distribution is by RR Films and digital rights are held by OSR Digital.
