Kathmandu — Rаtо Ghera (The Red Circle), based on real events and directed by Anil Budha Magar, has officially commenced its first phase of principal photography in Bhaktapur. The 30-day schedule will make use of Bhaktapur's historic, cultural, and natural locations for the film's key scenes.
Lead actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar are joined by a large ensemble including Sunil Pokhrel, Bhola Raj Sapkota, Maotse Gurung, Kavita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Shekhar Chapagain, DB Gurung, Balbahadur Gurung, Ingi Happo Sunuwar, Suraj Tamu, Khadga Bahadur Pun (Khabapu), Arun Pun Magar, Susmita Kunwar, Rambaabu Regmi, Bhawana Khapangi Magar, Umesh Sonam, Bijaya Paudel, Subhashprasad Gajurel, Subash Singh Thakuri, Sanjay Kumar, Ramik Singh Thakuri, and Sunil Tamang, among others.
The story and screenplay are by Raju Syangtan, with cinematography by Shishir Bishankhe, music by Manoj Thapa Magar and Sagar Ale, lyrics by Shrawan Mukarung and Shiva Hamal, background score by Manoj Thapa Magar, and editing by Jeevan Thapa. Chief assistant direction is by Firoz Khadka. Technical team also includes costume design by Janaki Kadayat, production design by Ramlal Khadga, and art direction by Kripa Khadgi.
The film is produced by Jeevan Gurung, Kavita Gurung, Bhojendra Gurung (Bhoj), and Sarun Sherchen under Bishram Films Pvt. Ltd., with distribution rights held by Kafiya Films. The film is targeting a Mansir 18 nationwide release.
