Thapa's career went beyond Nepal, as he directed several Bollywood films, including "Himalay Se Ooncha" (1975) and "Kanchhi" (1984). His ability to connect Nepali and Indian cinema highlighted his versatility and vision. He also made contributions as a writer, working on projects like "Yeh Rastey Hain Pyar Ke" (1963).

B.S. Thapa passed away on August 9, 2016, in Mumbai, India, leaving behind a legacy of innovative work that continues to inspire filmmakers.
