Gaurav Pahari, a prominent figure in the Nepali film industry, gained widespread acclaim for his notable performances in movies like "Saili," "Hostel," and "Gajalu." He is the son of the esteemed actor Tika Pahari, and his journey in the world of cinema commenced with his debut in "Manjari" in 2013, although it was his role in "Hostel" that garnered significant public recognition.
Raised under the care of his maternal uncle, Gaurav's educational journey led him to Kathmandu, where he initially attended Guheswori School and later resided in the hostel at Little Angels School. However, his past was marked by personal struggles as he grappled with drug addiction while pursuing his +2 studies. Fortunately, with the support and guidance of his father, Tika Pahari, he underwent rehabilitation and continued his education in Kerala, India, ultimately graduating from Pune.
With a fervent desire to pursue acting, Gaurav found unwavering support from his father, prompting their move from Pune to Mumbai. Drawing inspiration from his father, an alumnus of the Pune Institute of Acting, Gaurav enrolled in an acting class in Mumbai. However, his initial foray into the industry was fraught with challenges as he faced rejection due to his Nepali identity. Undeterred by setbacks, he persevered through a two-year struggle in Mumbai, relentlessly auditioning for serials and commercials.
Despite facing hurdles, Gaurav Pahari's journey stands as a testament to his resilience and determination in pursuing his passion for acting, overcoming personal obstacles and societal barriers to carve a niche for himself in the dynamic realm of Nepali cinema.
