Jal Shah (Nepali: जल शाह) is a highly acclaimed Nepalese actress, renowned for her exceptional contributions to Nepali Cinema. Her remarkable talent has earned her numerous accolades, including the "Best Actress" award at the NFDC National Film Awards and the prestigious Order of Gorkha Dakshina Bahu.
Jal Shah's journey in the world of cinema began with a small role in the religious film "Shreeswasthani" at the young age of 13. She later stepped into the spotlight with her first leading role in the movie "Avatar" (not to be confused with the 2009 fantasy film). In "Avatar," Jal Shah portrayed the character of Priyanka, a spirited young woman, opposite Rajesh Hamal. The film enjoyed substantial success at the box office, marking the beginning of a successful career for Jal Shah in the Nepali film industry.
