His musical journey commenced around 2007/8, crafting lyrics and compositions for various hits like "Chahana Sakiyo Bahana Sakiyo" by Sashi Rawal and "Laija Re" by Hemant Rana. His track "Saili" sung by Hemant Rana trended globally on YouTube, reaching 14th position after its release, setting a record with over 400,000 views within 24 hours.
His contributions in Nepali cinema include notable songs like "Jaalma," "Nira," "Lappan Chappan," "Panchi," and "Daiba Hey." Baskota debuted as a singer with the hit song "Jaalma" from the movie Resham Filili, a significant success in the Nepali film industry.
