The production team behind the upcoming film Kaalkatti has officially opened auditions for its supporting cast. Produced under the banner of Raghujee Films and invested in by Raghunath Sapkota, the project is gearing up for a fresh cinematic approach.

Writer and director Amardeep Sapkota is looking for a mix of child actors and young adults to join the crew. The film is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to start filming in the first week of Chaitra. With a target release date within the year 2083 BS, the makers are aiming to bring a "new energy" to the Nepali silver screen.

Audition Requirements: Are You the Right Fit?

The production team is specifically looking for the following roles:

Second Lead Actress: Female, aged 20–26 years.

Child Actors: One boy and two girls (age range not specified, but typically school-aged).

Male Supporting Actors: Three men, aged 25–30 years.

How to Apply

If you’re interested in trying out for a role, you can send your application to the official Gmail address: [email protected].

Your application must include:

  • A recent clear photograph.
  • Your height and weight details.
  • An updated bio-data (resume).

Optional but helpful: Links to any previous work, such as short films, music videos, or movies.

Note: Only selected candidates will be contacted via email regarding the audition date and location.

Technical Crew and Distribution

The film features a strong technical lineup to ensure high production quality. Nisal Paudel will handle the cinematography, while Bhim Bista is set to compose the music. On the distribution side, the film has secured solid partnerships:

Theatrical Distribution: RR Films (Nationwide).

Digital Rights: OSR Digital.

Actually, it's quite exciting to see Raghujee Films announcing two projects—Kaalkatti and Kaka Ko Bihe—simultaneously. It shows the producer's long-term commitment to the industry. By opening auditions for the "second lead" and child characters, the director seems focused on finding natural talent rather than just relying on big names. Or at least, it gives a great chance for newcomers to break into the industry.
