Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film Yanimaya has officially revealed its first romantic poster, and with it, confirmed the lead actress for the project. Speculation had been swirling about whether Anjana Pun Magar would remain attached to the film following a recent change in director, but the newly released poster puts those doubts to rest — she's very much in.
The poster shows Paul Shah and Anjana in a tender, romantic frame, though sharp-eyed fans will notice a contrast between the two: Paul carries a serious, almost brooding expression, while Anjana radiates warmth and joy. She is dressed in traditional Magar attire, a visual detail that hints at a story rooted in intercultural love — the kind that runs deep and doesn't come without its complications.

Not their first time sharing the screen
While this will mark the first time Paul and Anjana have worked together on a full-length feature film, audiences already know their chemistry well. The two have appeared in several music videos together, with Mayalai Panko Paat being the most beloved among fans. They've also shared the frame in Janchhau Ra Lahureko Saathaima, Satapratishat Sahi Ho, Maile Bhanda Maya, and Baadha Na Baadha Mayale, among others.
Paul Shah steps into production
Yanimaya is being produced under the banner of Paul Shah Films, with Paul himself and Chandra Jyoti Aale serving as producers. This marks Pal's debut as a film producer — a natural next step for someone who has already been quietly building his production house through music video projects. He has made clear that this is just the beginning, with more films on the horizon.
Filming is set to begin on Jestha 1 (mid-May), and if the poster is anything to go by, Yanimaya looks poised to be one of the more emotionally layered releases in the pipeline.
