Kathmandu — With its release date of Baisakh 11 drawing closer, the team behind Paral Ko Aago is keeping promotional momentum strong. The film's second song, "Dukha Sukha Jindagani," has been released through the OSR YouTube channel, and early audience response has been warmly positive.
The song features vocals by actor and singer Prakash Saput and popular singer Shantishree Pariyar, with both the lyrics and music composed by Prakash Saput himself. Arrangements are handled by Sudip Sagar, and choreography throughout the film is by Ramji Lamichhane.
The music video brings together lead actors Suhana Thapa and Prakash Saput in a tender and affectionate setting, marking their first on-screen pairing. Audiences have responded enthusiastically to their chemistry, which feels natural and unhurried against the film's rural backdrop. The visuals feature scenes of village life, grassland, firewood collection, and goat herding, all of which lend the song an earthy authenticity that pairs beautifully with its folk-influenced melody.
The release follows strong audience reception for the film's first song "Udi Jaun Bhane, Ma Panchhi Hoina" and its teaser, both of which generated significant excitement ahead of the theatrical run.
Paral Ko Aago is inspired by the timeless short story of the same name by celebrated Nepali literary figure Guru Prasad Mainali, originally published in his story collection Naso. It is worth noting that director Pratap Subba previously adapted the same story into a film nearly 45 years ago, making this new version a fresh cinematic reimagining of a beloved piece of Nepali literature.
The film is directed by Laxman Sunar with screenplay and dialogues by Sushil Devkota, and stars Suhana Thapa, Saugat Malla, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Adhikari, Kishore Bhandari, Jack Shrestha, Sarita Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and child actress Manjila Baniya, among others.
Produced under the banner of Hari Om Cine Makers Pvt. Ltd. by Sushil Pokhrel, with Sulabhi Pokhrel and Satyam Pokhrel as co-producers, the film features cinematography by Sankalpa Bhujel, editing by Milan Shrestha, color grading by Canal Kanwar, background score by Kiran Tuladhar, music by Shanti Thatal, Satya-Swarup Acharya, and Prakash Saput, and VFX by Samir Miya and Satyam Rana. Art direction is by Pratik Chaudhary, chief assistant direction by Karan Bahadur Saud, mixing by Mukesh Shah, and production coordination by Nagendra Ghimire. Distribution is handled by RR Films, with digital rights held by OSR Digital.
