Kathmandu — A new and distinctly different kind of love story is on its way to Nepali cinema. Debut director Pradip Kumar Chaudhary's film Tarang has officially launched its promotional campaign with the release of its first look poster, introducing audiences to what the production team describes as a supernatural love story unlike anything Nepali audiences have seen before.
The poster, designed by Utsav Pande, features the film's two lead actors Varun Adhikari and Rabina KC, presenting their characters' deep but silent emotional connection in an artistic and evocative visual style.
Tarang is being positioned as a supernatural love story, with the production team promising a narrative that departs significantly from the conventional romantic films that Nepali audiences are accustomed to. "This film will offer audiences a completely new flavor on the Nepali silver screen," the team has stated.
The film features a large ensemble cast alongside Varun and Rabina, including Barat Limbu, Krishna Thapa, Sara Rai, Ujjwal Bantawa Rai, Uday Subba, Kundan Tharu, Uttam Gurung, Johan Sanjog, Bishal Senehang, and child actor Pranshu Chaudhary.
Produced jointly under the banners of Devdat Creations and AV Filmi, the film is written and directed by Pradip Kumar Chaudhary, with investment from Tarkraj Joshi and Jitendra Kumar Chaudhary, and Harinarayan Chaudhary as executive producer. The technical team includes cinematographer Mahesh Paudel, editor Sandesh Shah, action director Samrat Basnet, music by Manoj Thapa Magar, Pawan Giri, and Manoj Mahato, background score by Sushil Dangol and Sudip Shrestha, and production management by Rijan Pariyar.
The film was shot across several scenic locations including Morang, Sunsari, Palpa, Rupandehi, Chitwan, and Kaski. A release date has not yet been officially announced, though the director has stated that a formal announcement will be made within the week.
