Kathmandu — The teaser of the upcoming Nepali film Mitajyu has been released through the OSR YouTube channel, and it delivers exactly the kind of warmth, humor, and emotional undertone that audiences expect from a film about the sacred Nepali bond of miteri friendship.
The teaser sets up a simple but instantly charming premise: Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla, playing two men who make their living as drivers, find themselves in a recurring rivalry over the same girl. Their conflicts escalate to the point where the community intervenes — and in the spirit of Nepali tradition, the two rivals are made to perform the mit ritual, becoming sworn brothers. The teaser closes on that ironic and heartfelt note, leaving audiences eager to see where the relationship goes from there.
Alongside Dayahang and Saugat, the teaser also features Khabapu (Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar), Teriya Fauza Magar, and Shishir Wangdel, among others. Teriya Magar makes her acting debut through this film.
Mitajyu is directed by Anil Budha Magar and produced by Janak Gharti Magar under the banner of GM Movies Production, with cinematography by Shishir Bishankhe and editing by Lokesh Bajracharya. The supporting cast includes Puskar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Pawitra Khadka, and Khabapu, among others.
The film releases on Jestha 8.
