Kathmandu — The upcoming Nepali film Gauthali, set for release on Saun 1, has unveiled two evocative posters that speak volumes about the kind of story this film intends to tell.

The first poster shows lead actors Arun Kshetri and Simran Khadka dressed as bride and groom in traditional attire. Arun's character carries a slingshot tucked into his belt and has an unusual appearance to his fingers — a visual hint of a physical challenge his character faces. Despite this, his expression radiates confidence and quiet resolve. Simran's bridal expression carries tension and uncertainty, adding emotional depth to the visual.

The second poster is perhaps even more powerful: Simran is shown walking barefoot, carrying a doko full of leaves on her back — while simultaneously reading a book in her hands. The image distills an entire story into a single frame: a young woman balancing the weight of household duties against the stubborn flame of her desire for education. A distant Himalayan backdrop completes the rural hill setting.

Directed and produced by Dr. Kapil Rijal, the film also stars Madankrishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniva Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwari Baral, Sanyog Rasaili, Sitadevi Timilsina, Laxminath Timilsina, and Rajendra Nepali, with child actors Anshu Oli and Prince Nepali.
