Kathmandu — A new Nepali comedy film is on its way, and it comes with a particularly exciting headline: celebrated folk and dohari singer Pashupati Sharma will make his feature film acting debut through Teen Tighre Kya Bigre. The film was formally announced with a script puja ceremony at Ganesh Temple, Suryabinayak, and is expected to begin principal photography in the last week of Ashar.
Written and directed by Amardeep Sapkota, the film will be a full comedy and is being designed as a complete entertainment package for audiences. Pre-production is currently in full swing.
In addition to Pashupati Sharma's debut, Paritoshika Pant, daughter of popular singer Anju Pant, will also make her acting debut through this film. Several other new and talented performers are also set to debut in undisclosed roles.
The film is produced by Raghunath Sapkota under the banner of Raghuji Films. The producer acknowledged that some previously announced projects from the same banner had been temporarily delayed for technical reasons, but confirmed that Teen Tighre Kya Bigre is now the priority and that other announced films will follow in sequence. Distribution in Nepal is with RR Films and digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
