Kathmandu — Actor Rear Rai has been officially signed for an important role in the upcoming Nepali film Kangal Karorepati, adding another strong name to a cast that is steadily taking shape.
The production team confirmed that Rear Rai joins previously announced lead actors Mukun Bhusal and Salina Tamang, who were signed earlier. With three confirmed cast members now in place, the film's ensemble is beginning to come together ahead of what the production team expects will be an imminent move into principal photography.
Kangal Karorepati is directed by Raju Shrestha and produced under the banner of Cinema Pathshala Pvt. Ltd., presented by Prabin Acharya and produced by Anilkumar Budathoki. Co-producers are Chhiring Tamang, Prabin Rai, and Pravesh Sapkota, with Rita Shrestha Tamang and Suraj Kumar serving as line producers. The story is written by Suman Gajmer.
The production team is currently conducting location recces across various sites in preparation for the shoot. Some supporting cast members are also expected to be selected from within the filming region itself, a casting approach that should lend the film an authentic local quality.
