Director Sudarshan Thapa Returns with "Shubha Bibaha" Starring Pradeep Khadka, Sanisha Bhattarai Rumored as Lead Actress

Kathmandu — Director Sudarshan Thapa is returning to the director's chair after two years, and he is bringing back one of Nepali cinema's most trusted collaborations: his partnership with actor Pradeep Khadka, which previously produced the hit Premgeet.

The film, titled "Shubha Bibaha," is currently in pre-production, with the shoot expected to begin from Bhadra. According to sources, actress Sanisha Bhattarai has been signed as Pradeep's female lead, with a written agreement reportedly already in place, though the production team has not yet made an official confirmation.

Sanisha made her acting debut in 12 Gaun and Shubha Bibaha is expected to be her fifth film.

The film is being produced by Supriya Katuwal under the banner of Priyavarsha Films, with a confirmed release date of Falgun 21. That date puts it in direct box office competition with Ratyauli, featuring Pooja Sharma — making it the first time films from Sudarshan Thapa and Pooja Sharma will compete head-to-head since their creative separation following Raavayan.
